Late update. Doc issued the gp form back to me within a week, they even took the trouble to ring me and see if I wanted to collect it, well impressed. all went to the authority via registered post and we will await a development. regards

Evening Has anyone got a 525sl that they have had for a while? just wondering how you are finding the laminate, heavy or fine? I have a few air rifles with laminate stocks and like the look and function. regards Kevin

just for information, I emailed the firearms licensing dept regarding MedCert and they have confirmed they will not accept it, will be a right challenge getting my Health Centre to complete my form. Kevin

Just checked the NWP site and they are now accepting new applications, there is a minimum 16 week application period and the requirement for the GP medical report now applies (pre covid it wasn’t required). We don’t have a doctor at our health centre, they rely on locus so I am considering...

It’s the home visits that is the problem, so unless that is resolved at some point or alternative methods of inspection are adopted, I can’t see my SHC being progressed anytime soon. Kev

I sent an email to the North Wales Police enquiring when the embargo on issuing new SGC and received a reply saying it won’t be for the foreseeable. Never mind. hopefully the situation will sort itself out and I can perhaps reapply later this year. might even get some tuition booked at some...

At least mine is a new cert so don’t have the problem of any existing guns. Before 1st April, NWP were not asking for a GP cert but the policy will now change so it’s now a requirement. 1st world problem at the moment. Kev

Once this current situation passes us by and North Wales Police start accepting Applications, I am considering using MedCert instead of my own GP (We don’t have a GP locally, just a medical centre that brings locums in). Have any of you good people used MedCert ? Regards and stay safe. Kevin
