Will be honest - the live feed was a bit of an experiment - it worked for some, not for others, I will tinker with the idea and see how it can be improved over time.

Some seemed to like it.

Full report will always yield the best results.

Edit - twitter is the only way I could update on scores from the field... there was no wifi to update the forum quickly, or run a proper liveblog. In the future, I may have better ways to do this.

Great day out. Tough shoot with the wind. Connor was fantastic and so was Ed and George.

John is a cracking game shot.

He said that because of the wind he was just going to treat them as game and get on with it. Well done....and he got a cheeky plug for Bisley Sporting in as well during the speeches.

Nice to see Fauldsy there supporting Connor.

Sounds like the course was brutal today. Well done to all involved and a special pat on the back for Connor, clearly a big star of the future.....

MM

PS

Matt thanks for the live blog and I'm sure you will have it all sorted out for next year, nothing less than a live web cam will do....

What a fantastic day at the Stratstone Super 7 Final. The hard working RBSS team led by owner Dylan Williams put on a truly great event today. This is fantastic for shooting sports in the UK and it was nice to see the big prizes back again. Robert Cross had designed a truly brilliant high tower sequence that would test not only the skill of the shooters but that would test the mental side of their game. A very brave and delightful James Brearley from Stratstone Group (who were responsible for putting up this great prize of a £100K Super car) was there along with Reshma Patel and Selena Barr who did such a great job promoting the event. They all watched the finalists.... wishing them on...and hoping that one would win the car. (I would have been shaking if i was giving away £100K).
A very experienced (and brave) RBSS shooting instructor Tizi McPherson was the first person to shoot the challenge in order to let the finalists see the targets. He scored a very elegant 18 whilst allowing all the TV cameras to get their positions right and have a good 'set up', on the shooters position. Then with the press, (The Times) and the shooting media, (The Field magazine, Shootclay, Clay Sporting magazine) and Clay Shooting TV....it began...! And what a show it was...!
There was a brisk wind and although none of these very experienced shooters managed to shoot the required 23+ out of 25 to win the car outright...there were 2 shooters tied on the top score of the day. Ed Solomons and John Heagren both shot an 18. So we were then treated to a nail biting shoot off. John Heagren emerged the winner and now has use of a Morgan Plus 4 for the next 6 months. Don't dent it John...
David Duggan of David Duggan Watches, Burlington Arcade was also there to present the Rolex watch to the highest score over the qualification period, which was of courseGeorge Digweed who in the qualifying round shot a perfect 25/25 some weeks earlier. Berkshire's Own Chris Childerhouse won the side by side competition. Its prize was a fantastic £2000 of clothes from The Really Wild Clothing Company. This was a fantastic day and hopefully will be run again next year. This was a competition of pure pressure and it was a joy to watch. It was also great to see 'extreme Mr Cool' Olympian Richard Faulds at the event, supporting Connor Gorsuch who at the tender age of 16 put in a great performance against this very, very Top Field of shooters...(scoring 15)

Here is a taster.....A bit difficult to get 3 in a selfie at the lunch table.....
