Are 26” barrels too short

I have a chance to buy a very good condition Miroku but it has 26” skeet barrels. Is this a gun that is still a viable spporting clay gun?

No. Forget it. Too many other guns at the minimum length of 30” to bother with it.

Agree entirely with Will.

You will pick it up and think how quick and lively it is to move but in the long run that means a lack of precision and more misses than hits.

Forty five years ago , the top boys at the local gun club wandered around carrying both a 26” skeet gun , and a 30” trap gun . Then along came the multi-choke. It would be interesting to see the date code from the 26” gun .

It is a Miroku 800 from mid 1970s, before date codes were used

@antse7en on here reportedly offers a deal on a 29" cylindrical Miroku... which has datecodes, and a bit of a backstory.
