Looks like another 'someone buys a house next to a shooting ground' and complains about the noise. Isn't West Midland shooting ground having the same issue

The West Midland one was going to court but I didn't hear anything of how they got on

Jan Powell , would you care to enlighten us?
To be honest, there’s lots to it but in essence, complaints were made by a local resident that resulted in council restrictions. This significantly reduced the viability of the ground. The exorbitant cost of a legal challenge together with changing personal circumstances of the ground owners have led them to decide to close. You’ll find plenty of discussion on trapshooters.com.

Unfortunately, the end result is we lose one of the finest shooting grounds in the country and the most prestigious DTL event of the year. To make matters even worse, the ground cancelled the Gamebore DTL a few days ago meaning we can’t even give them a send off.

Thanks for the clarification and taking the time to share it. A loss indeed to the sport.

Thank you for the clarification.

Your post implied that there was more to the West Midland Shooting Ground situation.

Does anyone know of a superb ground that the Mid Wales complainants can move nearby to ? Mid Wales will be the second ground that they have closed through legal action.
