I'm currently on the lookout for a multi purpose shotgun. I predominantly shoot DTL and occasionally sporting for fun. I would get a pure trap gun, however, I prefer a lighter gun (not bothered by recoil) and the fixed chokes are restrictive, and I tend to prefer a more open choke (yes you can...
I've recently gotten a new trap gun and have been taking a bit of time to get used to it. My previous gun, which I still have, has an adjustable comb, which I raise at the back to make it a Monte Carlo. I see a good few mm gap between the mid and front bead this way, which allows me to cast my...
Recently had my first round of ABT with not the best results 🙈. I think I hit about half. I'm fairly seasoned at DTL and usually get 23, 24/25 on the reg.
Any tips on making the transition to ABT? I unintuitively found that waiting a bit for the bird to slow down and stop rising so fast...

NSC are now open for late sessions on a Thursday night.
North Ayrshire is Saturdays and Sunday, however, has full cover for all weathers.
Cheers,
Tom

It's a 1989 model with 30" barrels choked 1/2 & full with red and black action. I'm not sure if the red and black is for the trap models or for early models - I've heard...
I've recently discovered that I have to convert to one eyed shooting for DTL. With sporting, skeet etc. I can keep both eyes open with success, however, it just does not work for me in DTL. I think I have some degree of centre dominance (as does everyone I believe), and mine kicks in on...
I have always been told when mounting a shotgun to bring the stock right up into your cheek before putting it in the shoulder, as this makes sure that you head will be straight when going down onto the stock, and your eyes level. I see a lot of proper trap shooters where this doesn't apply -...
