    What did you do today?

Here in the 'states, we call that Bubba'd. All along, I only thought it happened here. 🙃

    What did you do today?

About the only thing shooting related I've done lately is to clean a rifle that I procrastinated on for too long.

    How many shotguns

Aside from a small crack in the forend that has been there for as long as I've had it, mine has been holding up pretty well. But, I don't get out and shoot it nearly as much as I should.

    Closing the gun

Sorry for replying to a a six week old post, but I have to agree. Outside of a war zone, people ( dogs, cars, the floor) only get shot in one of two ways: intentionally, or negligently. The first time I ever shot a gun, I was five or six years old . It was impressed upon me by me dad from day...

    How many shotguns

How do you like your 1187? I have an 1187 Premier Trap which is my go to trap gun (I guess it's not really a beater). To be honest, it is a little cumbersome for ATA trap shooting. But it works, and it's what I have.

    How many shotguns

I have six or seven floating around here, maybe eight or nine, mostly beaters. I keep thinking I should sell them all and get one nice European O/U.

What did you do today that’s shooting related?

I cleaned my somewhat recently acquired, old, Savage 775A, a more or less of clone of the Browning Auto-5. If you've never fired a long recoil operated shotgun, it's a little different.  Upon firing, the barrel and bolt travel together for the entire length of the cartridge. At the end of its...

    Greetings from America!

It's always fun to decode new BS. :w00t: I just have to remember not to be too 'American' in my viewpoints. And yeah, the club where I go shoots  ATA rules. For a beginner, it will be fine. If I wish to shoot other types of games, I will have to go at least to Portland, OR. It's about an hour...

    Greetings from America!

.. Yeah, a pistol isn't my first choice, or even my second. Sometimes you just use the tool that you have with you. Interestingly, in the state where I live grouse are the only game birds that can be taken by means other than using a shotgun. Most are taken, IMO, during deer season. For me...

That is freakin' awesome!  4mm Randze?

    Greetings from America!

The trick is let it land and then shoot the ground right in front of it. The upspray of dirt and small rocks kills 'em dead, and leaves the meat more intact than one would expect. The first time was by accident. I tried for a head shot, but in my haste,  I was a little off...

    Greetings from America!

I live in Kelso, Washington state, about two hours due south of Seattle, about 45 min. north of Portland, Oregon.

    PCP air rifle suggestions ?

What kind of vermin is he trying to control? How much power does he need? For small stuff, rats, starlings, etc., an older Weihrauch (Beeman here in the 'states. The Beeman guns are improved a bit over Euro market guns) or Diana springer will do nicely. For bigger critters, I have an Evanix Rex...

    Greetings from America!

Hi all, I'm new to this board, and somewhat new to shotgunning. I'm a long time rifle and pistol shooter, though not competitively (yet). My username here leaves little mystery as to where I'm from.  :D My previous shotgunning experience consisted of some informal skeet shooting, an...
