    Beretta 682 Help Needed!

    Beretta 682 Help Needed!

It was just put up against the the barrels in the case but it wasn't latched on I think. I suppose there is no easy way to solve the wood swelling on the forend?

    Patterning 1/4 Choke?

I was surprised at how soft to shoot the evo's are very close to the eley superbs. I was averaging a spread of around 17" at that distance using the improved cylinder choke but the fiocchi fblacks had a spread of just 13" at 15 yards and around 20" at 25 yards very even it was at both...

    Patterning 1/4 Choke?

Just back from patterning, Cartridge's I used were fiocchi f3 sporting 28g 7.5,fiocchi fblack 28g 7.5,gambore white gold 28g 7.5,eley superb 28g 8 and gambore evo 28g 8.  I shot one of each cartridge at 15 yards then measured the pattern width which supprisingly was around 17" on average apart...

    Patterning 1/4 Choke?

Those look a great job Marty but I'm afraid to hand all I have is sheets of white back cardboard that I will spray a clay size target with orange paint in the center of, hopefully will do the trick. Great information Jonny,I'll be shooting my 692 x trap with extended optima hp chokes in...

    Patterning 1/4 Choke?

That's a massive variation in pattern width at that distance I didn't think it would be so much.15 yards it is so will bring a measuring tape with me to check pattern width as well as the spread. Good point,I find the adjustable rib is great for getting the pattern to where I like it.

    Patterning 1/4 Choke?

Yep DTL. Do you find 15 yards is good enough to tell you which cartridge is giving you the most even spread Will. thanks.

    Patterning 1/4 Choke?

I want to pattern 1/4 choke in my gun with a few different brand cartridge's tomorrow morning. What would be the best distance to do this from to get a true reading of each cartridge? Any tips appreciated thanks.

    Piston Type shells

Just shows no need to be spending big on shells, the quality of the budget stuff these days really is on the way up ever year, cheap and cheerful for me from now on I think.

    Piston Type shells

Do you find the Evo's the smoothest of the cartridges you have tryed Johnny,I've had luck with eley blues on the past too but they are after getting a price hike in my dealers lately.

    Piston Type shells

I'll get a slab of velocity+ and evo's and give them a go, thanks for the info Will.

    Piston Type shells

Good to know Will I'll give them a try, I'm starting to think lately I really don't need to be shooting expensive shell's some of my best scores have been with budget shell's, do you find the evos a better overall shell than the velocity, smother and harder hitting and the like?

    Piston Type shells

I'm using gambore dtl at the moment myself but they are a bit pricey, always tempted to try the velocity+ when I see the price difference at my dealers but always wonder what the quality of the budget line gambore cartridges is like.

    Decibullz Molded Earplugs

Sound out Charlie ill give them a go, for the money they seem top value and might stop the problem I'm having with with my peltor earmuffs sliding up when I mount my shotgun.
