    To Choke Or Not ?

I must admit I was surprised to see it, but I cannot remember where I saw it.

    To Choke Or Not ?

I suppose if they know you it could be different, I used to like it when you could wait while they fettled your gun :D

    To Choke Or Not ?

According to the tinternet Alan Rhone has stopped people dropping their gun off and waiting for it. RFD deliveries only.

    WANTED GRACOIL RECOIL SYSTEM.

If you manage to find one fit a hard pad on the Gracoil. If you fit a kick-ezze pad or similar you will have a lot of recoil to the "bounce" of the pad.

    Tightest patterning fibre cartridge

My Browning has backboard barrels and I use the same cartridges in plaswad and fibre and the kills are just the same whatever I shoot.

    Introduction and gun fit question

I think it needs to closed down to be honest, it's gone on too long and it's getting boring now.

    Introduction and gun fit question

Yes, I agree with that and I do look at where my barrel is, it makes it easier for me. I just have a small bead on my gun though.

    Introduction and gun fit question

Can you explain why gun fit has changed, because if it does'nt shoot where you look you're not going to hit much. If you shoot where the target is going works, well for me. Guns are still the same as they were years ago, so what has changed?

    British Open, Garlands

I used to be a CPSA member years ago #27572. The bullying of scorers was terrible and I used to get into arguements about cheating and decided not to bother and just shoot at local grounds. I'm sure that it was on this forum there was a CPSA member who was after votes to be elected by proxy...

Semi auto, love em / hate em.

I had a go with my auto today for a change, to be honest my O/U is a lot better to shoot 🤫

Semi auto, love em / hate em.

I really agree with your post because of the recoil reduction and the ease of shooting one. I have a 1980 Beretta 391 Gold with some weight added so it now weighs 7lb 10oz. My O/U is a Browning which weighs 8lb 6oz which handles and shoots very well but at my age I'm thinking of using my auto...

    Pitch and POI

Don't forget "Shotgunning, The Art and Science" by Bob Brister. This one is by an English writer, "Shotgun Shooting Techniques and Technology" by John Brindle. Both are full of information.

Can you prove that? Here is a video about pitch. Not once was point of impact mentioned. This fella's quite a good shot too :giggle:

    Dirty ends!

I have used one of these for over 20 years for cleaning shotguns and rifles. It makes cleaning any gun much easier instead of pointing barrels at the floor. https://www.mcavoyguns.co.uk/contents/en-uk/p2983_MTM_Case_Guard_Rifle_maintenance_center.html
