Cartridge price increases now getting silly

One of my local grounds (Wedgenock in Warwick) do a pre loaded card. It's something like £320 for 1200 clays which seems ok at 27p per clay, but there's no top up allowance for no birds in that. They say the £320 is for a 1000 and they allow the extra 200 in case of no birds. Having shot there...

    Beretta 694 Problem

I do (own an Invictus) I also own an old Maxum which I beleive to be in the region of 15 years old. The only issue I've had with the Maxum is a broken firing pin which was replaced while I waited by Alistair at CGHQ. I recently bought the Invictus (just fancied a new gun) after trying a Blazer...

    Spur of the moment.

E Rizzini I think? Looks very much like a gun a mate had way back. Don't recall him having any problems with his.

    MSA Sordin Supreme (Basic)

Widely regarded as the best electronic ear defenders, bought recently to replace a pair that were in my car when it got stolen. They've been used maybe 3 or 4 times so are practically as new.  Sale due to my Wife (bless her) bought me another set not knowing I'd already got them. Nice thought...

    Perazzi MXS Thoughts, issues?

I think my replies got merged..... The reply regarding stock weights relates to the Blaser. The reply regarding the gun being too heavy related to the Perazzi.  I took the CG out to Wedgenock (Warwick) for the first time yesterday to see where it shoots and how it felt. Happy to report, with...

    Perazzi MXS Thoughts, issues?

Don't recall seeing any weights in the case.  OK, delete "quicker" and insert "easier" 👍

    Perazzi MXS Thoughts, issues?

I've already decided not too 👍 (mentioned earlier in the thread, I found it very heavy. (Shame because I did like it otherwise) To close this subject down, as mentioned above the Blaser f16 was returned after having shot just 38 rounds. The stock cracked, albeit hairline. I certainly didn't...

    Gallyons

I'll take a guess at a left testicle and 2 kilos of Unicorn poo, and that'll just be the deposit..........see what I did there? 😂

    Berretta 694 problems

Thanks for this. I was aware of the two drop sizes. TBH I opted not to ask or measure it, I'm thinking if I shoot OK with it then I'm not going to be concerned about it. The view over the rib looks "normal" to me, I like to just see just a skim across the top of the rib, so I suspect this one...

    Perazzi MXS Thoughts, issues?

It was a brand new unfired gun. There had been no balance weights fitted and luckily for me, I resited the temptation to remove the stock to look at the balance system. Had I done so, I dare say I'd have been held responsible.   I've already decided not too 👍 (mentioned earlier in the thread, I...

    Berretta 694 problems

Following on from my recent foray's into prospective Blaser and Persazzi ownership, neither of which seem likely right now. I too have fallen for the technical charms of this little Beretta. I've not owned a Beretta for something like 30 years, so maybe it's time to revisit the brand?  To that...

    Perazzi MXS Thoughts, issues?

I think there's a good chance it might have been. Or just not headed up properly perhaps?

    Perazzi MXS Thoughts, issues?

Not that I noticed.  I read an article which I thought said it was MX8 based https://www.clay-shooting.com/features/perazzi-mxs/ Reading it again, I might have misread.  Pretty sure the MXS is not offered as a bespoke build.

    Perazzi MXS Thoughts, issues?

Absolutely, my question was more about any known issues etc. In any event, I've had a decent go with one (MXS) and I didn't gel with it. In truth I found it very heavy, it tipped the scales at a healthy but suprising 8lb 10oz. Lovely gun otherwise, and it certainly moved quicker than you'd...

    Perazzi MXS Thoughts, issues?

The price is less than £4k and is a L/H gun. I've also seen a 694 L/H at less than £3k and pratically new. I admit the "Perazzi" is a draw, but more to do with the shooting characteritics and build quality than "Look at me, I've got a P Gun"  But, we stray from the question asked 😉
