    CPSA smiles on the north!

Should have made no difference, I booked 2 of us pretty much the same as booking 1 person, in fact booked 3 of us, you have about 20 mins to complete the reservation?

    Shoot reports and news 2024

East of England today, another awesome round of clays, course average a very firm 62, won by Martyn Myers on 88. All visible and hittable, nothing silly and thoroughly enjoyable, just crept past the average

    Fore end grip

Changing the topic slightly, the habit that irritates me is the need to use their gun as an imaginary paint brush as they move it from their hold point to kill point to hold point for second shot before calling pull, I can just about stomach seeing it before the first pair but before all 4 pairs...

    Shoot reports and news 2024

Firm round at East of England (average was 68), very enjoyable even though it took a bit longer than normal to get round. Weather was fine, good selection of tricky targets, you had to work hard to put together a score that passed the average. A couple of very pleasing stands and not too shabby...

Another price increase for cartridges at end of January

Maybe been a few less over the winter period but generally still very busy in East Anglia, judging by the cars in the car parks, most not feeling the pinch

    Shoot reports and news 2024

Barrow yesterday, steady breeze but the course had been well thought out to take the strengthening wind into account, steady round, an average of 76 that I managed to exceed by a few. Always good variation of targets, nothing at extreme distance and won by a young lad with a fantastic 96, some...

    Shoot reports and news 2024

Same for me, great round, decent weather, my shooting left a bit to be desired, my lad shot the course well, must have suited a left hander, always friendly in the clubhouse and the sausage and bacon bap was much better than my shooting

    Miss fire!

You could try a box of different brand cartridges and see if similar results.

Sporting shoots 2023. How was it?

No idea what the comments were but he is still a young lad trying his best under his fathers shadow, whilst there may be some perks I doubt its as easy for him as some may think.

Sporting shoots 2023. How was it?

Barrow for me and the weather was pretty good, didn't shoot the quartering away targets very well which cost me several today, the rest pretty happy, just about scraped my average but felt should have been better, good round of targets though.

Sporting shoots 2023. How was it?

Barrow for me today, early start, and I thought it was as good a round as I have shot this year, shoot average was a testing 70 and it did feel a bit stiffer, never hit the b bird battue on 5 but shot the rest steady although not enough straights overall, pleased to finish with a score starting...

    Cone height

Don't worry, just shoot slightly under the targets

    Blimey, pretty impressive on paper

    Tightest patterning fibre cartridge

Not a great fan of fibres but for me, the best I have used for a tighter pattern were Cheddite Smart Strikes, price probably eye watering now.

Sporting shoots 2023. How was it?

Well the unseasonable weather put pay to the plan to stay local and slow down for the rest of the year, 3 hours each way to Westfield, a new ground to us and what a stunning part of the country it is. The land topography and space available enables a great variety of targets, no eyesight tests...
