Frankly I was wondering the same thing - I once asked whether a 692 and 694 stock were interchangeable and if memory serves the answer was "no". I'll have a closer look when my mate brings his 694 over, although that may be a while.

I surely do, but if I can avoid excessive fouling (in comparison to other cartridges) I will, given similar results etc. While I like to look after the tools, less work means more shooting time.
