    Perazzi tour experiences

PS. We flew with Ryan Air ☹️ from Manchester and stayed at a local hotel near the ground. I didn’t have to worry about it Bywell did all the arrangements!

    Perazzi tour experiences

I went with John Henry of Bywell in 2019 and the whole experience was first class. First off I went to the Bywell ground and John assessed my gun fit, shooting my current gun at various targets and pattern plate. I also tried the various Perazzis they had in stock so even before we went over a...

    Leaf or Coil springs

I agree with Westley, I too have a mixture of guns some with leaf some with coil and I don’t really notice the difference when shooting. Leaf springs are supposed to give better trigger pulls and one did go on my Perazzi after many thousands of shots - easy to replace though. Never had one go on...

    K80 Titanium Trigger ?

I had one on my Krieghoff and it wasn’t a problem for me.

    Shoot reports and news 2024

Shot the Swinton Cup at EJ Churchill Swinton Estate on Saturday. What a lovely ground that is and what great targets they put on. Well worth the long drive and if you haven’t shot that competition what out for it next year. Comparatively good value at £55 for 120 birds.

Which felt/fibre wad cartridge for optima and other backbored guns?

As per my original post my old DT10 didn’t like fibre wads. Had a few different guns since then and have settled on Fiocchi FBlack Sport as my favourite fibre wad. Given the choice though would always go for plastic.

    A Manuel Ricardo visit

A friend of mine went out about three weeks ago and got a stock and forend made for his Krieghoff, he too was delighted with the whole process. A very comprehensive report, thank you 👍🏻

Local Ground For Local People 🤣

There are two long established clubs near me, Glen Bank and Crowland. Both are thriving attendance wise but Crowland have been curtailed with the recent flooding. They manage to keep costs down and mainly cater for those not interested in registered competition shooting. Glen Bank is a sporting...

    K80 A couple of questions

I think it’s right that it changed with the parcours stock which is conventional whereas the predecessors were mainly montecarlo and I think it was about 2013/14.

    MK38 32" vs Ultra XS 30"

The 30”XS, 32” barrels can be a bit cumbersome in a pigeon hide.

    Shoot reports and news 2024

I went the other direction Chippy, after some minor glory at E of E shot Jett Hall which was another tough shoot but in a different way (more fast going away and simmos) and scored 60. At least it won’t count on my averages.!😂

    Shoot reports and news 2024

Sounds like a traditional sporting Fitasc with long breaks in between. On those occasions you have to put the whole day aside, if you weren’t prepared for that then psychologically it would not have done your shooting any good at all. In recent times it’s either shoot right through or with a...

    CPSA smiles on the north!

Yep! Senior moment forgot about it last night and this morning all sold out! Who said clay shooting is on the wane! 🤨 Put my name on the waiting list but not holding my breath.
