Chokes

Do tight chokes increase recoil as some shooters say one should tighten chokes if using fibre cartridges 

One should generally disregard most BS propogated by other shooters when it comes to chokes and recoil!

This is one of those cases,it is unlikely to make any noticable difference if you use decent cartridges which encompasses 95% of whats on the market.

As for choke effecting recoil i would bet nobody can tell the difference.

I'm going with the ejecta slamming into the tighter chokes actually contributes to lessened recoil  :lolu:

doubt it , few thousandth of inches ?      

Straight answer tight chokes can increase recoil, the physics backs  this up and the the testing  done by Mr. Winston also confirms this.

The question as to whether anyone can feel It is up for debate as felt recoil is totally subjective to the shooter.  I certainly can’t tell  between switching from skeet to modified and even if you are one of those that can feel it I doubt it’s anything that would bother you.  

Just pick a choke, grease the thread, tighten it in and get some lead in the air. Unless you're in the 1% that's at the top of the game it'll not make much difference either way.
