I've tried and own an ISIS (and like it) but has anyone tried both/all the above and which one do you rate for reducing recoil the most?

imo an isis is better made than a danuser, although the danuser is adjustable. never tried a rad but im lef to believe they are pretty good. i think a fair bit depends if you are worried about the extra weight in the back end, isis would be lightest as i believe its made from delrin

the ISIS with a 20mm adjustable pad required 2inches off the stock... ouch. does it affect gun balance?

i like the sound of the RAD as sounds pretty adjustable and the yanks love them... always a good sign as they consumer many many more than smaller markets so much put up with a lot. Then again, i've been unable to get a response from RAD US and their UK dealer is stopping the import...

If my memory serves me right i weighed my isis before i fitted it it was 4 ounces, the piece of wood i cut of my stock (DT 10) WEIGHED 2 OUNCES AS IT HAD A LEAD bar through it,so it put an extra 2 ounces on the back which i counter acted by putting 2 ounces of lead in the forend.

Took 20 mm off my stock, fitted isis with green pad which took it back to original stock length

that could be an idea. what sort of time? early afternoon?

how much did you have to take off your stock with the danauser? does it have the adjustable butt plate?

It was already fitted, standard Brierly guns Bloxham special spec. without adjuster or pad it is 30mm, adjuster is 4mm-ish and I have a 10mm isis green pad on it. I could be there around 12ish???

Precision fit stocks are a nice bit of kit, had one fitted to my 682gold e great for all kinds of adjustment and unrivaled recoil reduction but beware the temtation to constantly adjust as i found out. not really ideal for sporting more suited to trap maybe you rarely see them on the sporting circuit which leads me to think perhaps having your original stock fitted to your build is the way to go. sold my pfs and now shoot a dt10 which has improved my scores so i guess the proof is in the pudding..

I've used guns with Isis recoil reducers for a couple of years and they are a revelation.

I almost had to give up shooting a few years ago because of a reaction to the recoil (despite serious work on gun fitting). Now I can shoot 32g game shells thru a gun that 'only' weighs just over 8lb. I use 21 and 24 g for clays and now get no reaction at all.

I've tried guns with the Danuser system - but find the extra weight an issue. The Isis being light in weight doesnt alter the balance of the gun. The Isis green pads are good too and Dave Izzard at 'Recoil Systems' is a mine of useful information.

Hope this helps.

IMHO they are very good, besed only by a high rib perazzi for reducing recoil.

I'm thinking about putting an Isis on my gun, can you put a very thin pad on it, as surely the unit itself will reduce the recoil.

No need to reply thanks I've just had a look on Davids website.

Though that is proably done fairly often, it isn't correct. Dave recommends a hard pad, or one of his green fits.
Reason being, kick eeze etc are springy, which defeats the object of the Isis.

The best thing to put on, is a green fit pad in whatever thickness.

Just FYI.

Yes I spoke to dave about it and he said the 12mm would be fine. Always had one and it's the only one that's sticky enough to keep the gun in my shoulder with my low mount.

Yeah, Dave knows what will work or what the best compromise is. Green fits are leather backed, but that would be bad for your situation.

He did send me one to try but it just slid every shot. Shame as I have heard good things about them.

I use one and was concerned about the slipping. He fitted a sticky patch on it, which does the job.

Yes he gave me a load of the thin neoprene sticky jobs he does but didn't work for me. Brilliant unit though.
