Those of you that visit the main site (and if you don't - shame on you - I work hard on that stuff :) ) will know that I have been really focused on bringing quality interviews to the site... We've had Olympians, World Champions, World Number Ones and future stars - and there is more in the pipeline - but, I'd love to know who you think I should interview next? I have a long list of names - but I wonder who you think I should be after? On my list - I have:

  • More Olympians
  • More top sporting shooters
  • An Olympic Coach or two
  • A top course setter
  • Maybe an Olympic Referee
  • And more young guns
But who else should I be talking to?

Go out to the grounds like you do and pick up some views from normal everyday shooters, chat to people at straw bales shoots or go to some of the small farm shoots when there are only a handful of SBS shooters there and get some chat from them, more likely to get honest feedback and funny tales from those sort of people. Maybe hear some home truths about clay shooting from a 75 year olds point of view .

I like the sound of Outlaw /wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-cool.gif. I went right throught the site today Matt and did notice the hard work that must have gone into it already but it will be worth it. Personally I like to read interviews with anyone associated with clays, course designers, top shots in particular, cartridge makers /wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-embarassed.gif/wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-yell.gif, the trade, you name it. I would like to see Luke Riddington, Kevin Howland, Jamie Brightman, Micky Rouse, John Lee, Steve Whitelock, Sam Green, Richard Faulds, the Simpsons and of course more of George featured in good time. Mark Vessey is a top English shooter now living in New Zealand I believe, it`d be fantastic to hear how he`s finding it over there, not just the shooting but what he misses from here for instance. If you ever get the chance you should feature foreign shooters too, the US champs are always good for interesting chat too.

How about pictures of some of the shooters over the years? The French have a forum with a section that is all about the top shooters. Please ad the tab. This way we can comment and show pictures of our favorites! The Lone Canadian,Henry/wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-wink.gif

Great idea pictures over the years. I was always banging on about keeping Cpsa archives and exactly that idea on the Cpsa website. No one was interested. Raised it several times over 4 years. Many shooters out there will have old pictures showing not only our current top shots in their younger days, but top shots that are no longer around and who deserve to be remembered. It will also add interest with the 'have you seen what they wore in the 70's....... cor blimey mother'!!!!! I am thinking at the minute of Crofty in his flares .........funniest picture I have seen in a long time.

Afew names off the top of my head Philip Thorold - Cheryl Hall - Mark Marshall

Ask cartridge manufactures why a modern 28gm load has more recoil than a 32gm load of 20 years ago.

That's not even a one liner./wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-surprised.gif I would have thought there's more to it than just velocity.

Oh yes Cheryl Hall /wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-smile.gif/wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-cool.gif/wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-smile.gif, how could I forget, that really would be mega interesting. Ref the 32 gram shells of old, actually they do kick more than modern shells. I agree the manufacturers initially lost the plot a bit when we had the enforced move down to 28 gram and started loading mental speeds (remember the Gunmark colour coded jobbies?, or the Victory Sonics?. or the Clear Winners?)/wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-yell.gif/wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-confused.gif but on the whole there is no contest in recoil terms. A few years ago somebody gave me a few hundred 32g Old Skool /wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-laugh.gif Turbo things and believe me you could tell the difference as clearly as the more solid breaks they gave too /wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-wink.gif. A more interesting question would be how they sleep at night?

Yep... That sounds good to me Outlaw , good call /wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-cool.gif

Have no idea, if steel is anything to go by it is probably a little bit more expensive over here than the UK?I can definitely find out I will ask about at the shoot at the weekend and see! Glen

Sean Bramley- one of the best shots in the country and one of the few not afraid to speak his mind. Absolutely top bloke.

Totally agree Ed. And don't forget he was the first one to shoot 100 straight at FITASC sporting. I helped him celebrate because it was at the Belgium Grand Prix in Neveremont on the first day. Gorgeous George then did his first 100 straight on the second day. It was a very special shoot.

Old photos would be good. I have some good retro pics. One of my old man the first time he shot in the England team in 74' supporting flares, mop hair and proper sideburns. He'd kick my arse if I uploaded it though.

Ah yeah......side burns AND flares.....................When you look back at some of them in  the very old magazines......it is like a Hugh Heffner porno star line up /wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-laugh.gif/wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-laugh.gif/wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-laugh.gif
