it can take up to 12 months unfortunately but everyone is different. Physio can help speed it up and also give you ways of preventing it from coming back (well, a good physio would...)
shame you're not in strood kent!

ha, yeah sorry about that. I need to get out to more clay grounds and spread the gospel...
to be honest the only reason i had the injection was because of the stupid rules for physio as told by the Quack

waiting list 4-5 months

have the injection get fast tracked

I second the advice of getting physiotherapy.

In August, I overdid some strimming using what was a hard to start strimmer.  I really did continue long after my arms were telling me to stop! All through the autumn it was getting quite uncomfortable / painful so I changed my use of the mouse to my other hand and got 3 sessions of physio - deep physio massage and ultrasound have been remarkably effective.  I had my last session this afternoon.  Good luck, it's not a lot of fun but I'm much better now and a lot more respectul of my limitations!!

That would mean paying someone to inflict pain on ones self!
if you pay NI then you are already paying for your healthcare.... Some great physios in the NHS but if you can afford it, I would recommened going to a private physio if you are having to wait 4-5 months for treatment. for the sake of maybe £140 (3 or 4 sessions), I know what I would do...

sorry miss understanding because i had the injection you get referred straight away if i didn't have it i'd of had to of waited!

If the pain is bad go private, good Physio's are worth every penny. My Physio has treated me for about 10yrs and knows my condition so knows exactly how to fix it, she is imo an angel sent from heaven. Anyone who can wait for 6wks for nhs Cant be in that much pain.

you'll be amazed at how many people in a lot of pain do actually wait...

Possibly, but, IMHO I think they're daft if they (could afford some treatment and) choose to wait.

I'm now sitting at home with a pain free arm which had caused me significant discomfort over the last 4 or 5 months, and just 3 visits to a (private) sports specialist physio sorted it a lot quicker that I would have believed.  I really am surprised at just how effective the therapy has been.

Well worth it indeed.
