Do I expect too much ?

I think it's pretty much standard these days, you're expected to pay inflated prices for tat. After realising my MK38 was now too heavy for me I cleaned it throughly although I always kept it immaculate, took it including spare chokes and triggers to several gun dealers only to be offered...

    Which Shooting Cover ??

What you have to do is cancel the auto renewal and take out a fresh policy each year as a new customer. Auto renewal generates commission for the salesman and nothing for you, hence the admin charge. Outrageous but true.

    Which Shooting Cover ??

It depends on your needs. Many have insurance through CPSA or BASC or cover through one of the other large shooting bodies. Have you tried Gunplan which I think is now called Ripe insurance. They are about the cheapest on the market at around £15.

Local Ground For Local People 🤣

I often find that I'm a lone shooter mid week when I visit a venue whilst away in my caravan. I usually run through a slab without seeing anyone but ground workers or maybe another pensioner. Bad for the ground but good for my practice. On several occasions at differant grounds I've been asked...

Thanks, maybe I was confusing it with release triggers on Semi-auto rifles. At my age I do get confused on an hourly basis🫣

Local Ground For Local People 🤣

Being retired myself, 7 years plus now, I'd love a venue to open more that was closer. Its generally down to running costs, the chap who runs Sycamore for example is legally allowed 24/7. However he works full time and Sunday is his rest day. He gets there around 0700 to set up and open for...

Local Ground For Local People 🤣

Sycamore has its own micro climate, last Sunday couldn't see your hand in front of your face for freezing fog yet just 5 mins drive was T shirt and shorts weather.

    Gun reviews on youtube

I watched that review 3 times, then tried to order. Unfortunately they bumped up the price from the quoted £399 to £409 and then I have to pay for the fitting myself. Currently between £50 & £70 depending on where you go. I know you can't put a price on your hearing but pushing £500 for the...

What did you do today that’s shooting related?

Pumped enough lead into the air to burst all the clouds and make it flood. Total: 1 mangy wood pigeon, 2 fat squirrels. I'm beginning to think my barrels must be bent🤣🤣🤣

    Semi auto for clays

I don't think any group of people will ever agree on what's right and wrong for someone else.  Whilst I very much agree that Beretta is an excellent gun it's not for me at this moment, that's not to say in a year or so as my body and eyesight change it might be. Hatsan for a semi is my choice ...

    Would I be a philistine...

Your gun, your money, your choice, who cares what other people think they're not you or inside your head/body. Live for the now, not regrets, buy to use and love not to re sell. I imagine it would be a great talking point and an ice breaker, no two opinions would agree. I wouldn't like it...
