That's exactly my problem. . :wink:   After a 30 years of using an U/O and only a few seasons with the semi, my brain just wants to flick the safety off with my thumb.

My two gripes about using an auto in the hide is it obviously spits cartridges everywhere. With the grass on the headland as long as it is, using a cartridge that isn't black or green really helps. The other is the safety catch.  I just can't get used to flicking it off with my trigger finger...

Who defines what capacity is. To the guy who is totally motivated by money and wants to earn as much as possible then capacity may well be 12 hours a day, 7 days a week.  For others that actually want a life it might be 8 hours a day, for 5 days a week and I am sure there are plenty of people...

You might be able to get local catering colleges on board to prepare the game and turn it into meals.  I bet they would jump at the chance to practice their butchery skills on feathered game.

This is inspiring.  Maybe one of the big shooting organisations should get on board with something like this and try and roll it out on a national level.  Something like the charity that takes food from supermarkets that is past its sell by date and distributes it to those that need it.

Now thats bloody brilliant!!!.  What a fantastic idea and a great way to promote game shooting and help good causes.  More shoots should do the same with any surplus birds.
