    ODD LOOKING ROE BUCK..

Could it be a Perruque in its first regrowth? I've only ever seen one where the antlet's were growing over the eyes.

    How do you store yours?

Barrels up. Never had a problem in over 40 years. Although I never have excess oil in the barrels.

    Oxford Gun Company - FAIL

I had exactly the same experience some years back when I was looking for my wifes first shotgun. I stood in the background and just listened to the 'help' and 'advice' that my wife was being given. Strange how the very first gun that she was given (Browning 325) was perfect for her, and she...

    3600 yard shot?

Definitely. If you get the correct conditions (slightly damp air), even at mid range distances of 500 yards you can see the loop of the bullet dropping into the target (Much like the vapour trail of an airliner). The real skill though comes in reading the wind. Which in this case of 3600 yards...

    3600 yard shot?

We used to shoot at half that distance (Approx 1 mile) with our stalking rifle calibres. In my case 6.5x55 Ackley Improved. My 'perceived holdover' ( No one holds over at long range, its all dialled into the 'scope) was around 120feet!! I have no idea what the Cheytac is running at, but with...

    Dorset Shooting School

I would be interested in making up a squad if you're short of numbers TG. Can't guarantee to hit many but I'm house trained and safe.

    Barrel crowning

The video shows one way to do it (the amateur way!). OK for "the owd twenny two I had lyin round", but not the way a half competent gunsmith would do it.

    trigger pulls

A target rifle requires lightweight, clean & crisp breaks to aid accuracy A sporting shotgun?.....not so much. I would go so far as to say in reality I doubt whether most shooters could tell the difference between a 3lb and 4lb trigger pull when under normal useage.

I tend to use everything Napier now. No real reason other than I can get it locally.

    Budget Cartridges

My local gunshop had run out of my usual Hull Comp X 28g this weekend, so they recommended the Hull Superfast 27g as a replacement. They let me have a slab at the same price as the Hull Comp X (Thats why I support my local gunshop!) I tried them yesterday, and whereas I found the Superfasts to...

    Surrey Police using M25 Camera's.

I had exactly the same discussion with my FEO when my renewal went in last week. Maybe things are changing where minor offences will have more relevance in the future?
