    Are semi autos okay now?

Ye Gods  those  an O/U and even worse much worse S/S shooters discarding their cases all over the English country side without thought for others. At least we caring semi shooters deposit our spent cases in neat piles for the ground staff to clear up..........(stand by for reaction) :hunter...

    Are semi autos okay now?

I wish I had waited for the black edition. It really looks a 'cool' semi. (spoken as an ex handgunner). It was suggested that I shot some 32 g cartridges when I first bought it but never did and there have been times when it hasn't cycled e.g. with Lyalvale English Sporter 28g. I have found all...

You can do it. Have confidence

Yes but totally different to my point which was reforming  a straight edged butt pad to the convex  to fit a concave butt end,  Not much comparison to yours which may actually easier to achieve, Doesn't look too bad though

You can do it. Have confidence

Now then as a Jurassic handgunner I well remember the days of taking a Smith and Wesson 686 revolver apart for trigger improvements and the like. Now it is a project working on a Beretta 682 Super Sport. First problem How to fit the metal work on a forend never done that before,no probs job...

    Willow Farm Shooting Ground

Do not assume I "little experience" my point was the costs shown are very high and do not show the cost of a 'normal' shoot or whether or not they take debit and / or credit cards. Always ready to listen to qualified opinion

    Willow Farm Shooting Ground

Hi. That is very kind of you. I'm a rifle shooter on Saturday mornings and I go to Greenfields midweek as there are very few people about and I don't have to constantly  console  myself with the fact I'm a better shot with a rifle than a shotgun.  But, thanks very much.....Jack

Determining cast of stock right or left

Shot a swift 50 earlier plus a plate and no doubting the lurch to the left. Out with the tools again and remember SX is left DX is right ( according to the Beretta man on You Tube). Have to say though the Beretta 682 (very old) super Sport is so much better. Think  I'll leave the Xcel for Skeet

Determining cast of stock right or left

Thanks for that. It all started with an alternative  shim on an Xcel 400. Looking down the upturned barrel it was obviously a leftie now just a simple job of turning the shim around Thanks for the Mike Yardley article although your last line makes everything clear Jack

Determining cast of stock right or left

Could someone please advise me on how to determine the cast of a stock. I am told to turn the gun upside down and look down the upturned barrels and if the stock appears to be at a right hand angle then that is a right hand cast or alternatively the left if at that angle. Is it really that simple?
