My goodness there is no way I could have lifted a gun with fractured ribs, never mind the recoil and the pain when breathing, I cracked mine when I fell at Barrow Heath a few years ago and was in agony for weeks, all I can say is that is true dedication to the sport. Imagine what sort of score...

Shot yesterday afternoon and what a lovely friendly round of targets, nothing to fear (except fear itself!) messed up big time on stand 14 a simo pair of going aways and dropped 7 all down to operator error and bad gun hold for these type of targets, then back to stand 13 ( ref got lost) and...

Just to let you know four of us had booked in for Sunday, but have changed to another day about 3 hrs ago, so maybe if you give them a ring you might be able to get in on Sunday.  Good Luck!!

    Warm up stands at shoots.

I agree a warm up stand with say 5 pairs, would be a good idea, and I for one would certainly use it before starting the main course, simply to 'warm up' and blow away the cob webs. It is not always easy to pick the easiest stand to start on, especially if you are squaded and first to...

England Team Selection Shoot - Garlands

I thought this event could be shot either Saturday 23rd or Sunday 24th, but have heard it is now only a ONE day event on Sunday. Has anyone else heard this?

    benelli auto champs at barbury..

If you shoot the Classic Sporting, the CPSA English Open, British or Beretta World Sporting (in other words Majors in general) you will automatically shoot in your class and category i.e. B Class and Ladies/vets/juniors etc, this has been the case for many years.  However in certain competitions...

    Dubai.

How good are our girls? Of the 27 who have taken part, 14 have finished in the prize money with the lowest prize pot of approximately £1296 going to the lady in 37th position from GB. A fabulous result in such arduous conditions, and a great final to look forward to with Cheryl and Kate in the...

    sporting targets

I can see exactly where you are coming from, and I do see cases where AA shooters are not seen for a while and then return in a lower class and mince up everything, and it can be annoying, especially when us genuine shooters try week in a week out and only seek to improve on the previous week...

    sporting targets

Hi Chippy, Firstly I'd like to say well shot for yesterday. I have to say I thought it was a really well thought out round yesterday. I have posted on this forum in the past with regards to scores at Sporting Targets, and at that time, I think the average High Gun score over several shoots at...

Shooting in the Fog at Northampton

Although I've been shooting many years I can't remember ever shooting in foggy conditions. I must say it made the targets very interesting, it took me a couple of stands to adjust, as It appeared to me that there was more distance on them than was the actual case and I think I over estimated...

Unfortunately I was unable to shot yesterday, but enjoyed looking at all the results last night and it does look rather a coincidence that several grounds put on 'softer' targets this week straight after the 'cuts offs' reckon it must have been something to do with Halloween !!!!

    CPSA Confidentiality.

I too didn't know this existed, you live and learn. On a more serious note and thinking about it, it should only be CPSA members who are able to view this information in my opinion.
