Hi Tim, using an old Miroku 3800 choked full and extra full so as DTL slower and therefore closer when shot at 8 gives me (mentally anyway) a little better pattern than 7.5.

Just checked the England Team Handbook and Flip flops are not prohibited footwear as such: Any excessively worn, dirty or untidy clothing or footwear. This is the only mention of footwear. Personally I wouldn't want hot barrels anywhere near my naked feet.
