Not disagreeing with you at all, used to shoot competitions at club level in archery but I still get 'highs' when I'm shooting in practice shoots when everything is coming together.

One of the things i've started to do recently when shooting is to just ignore the score card and try not to count up your hits / misses. Would walk into a stand going "need to get at least 7 on this stand to keep my average" etc; put unnecessary pressure on myself. Now I just turn up, shoot...

I was at Griffn Lloyd last weekend for a round of sporting, very enjoyable and you've got a pick of almost anything with the number of traps they have out.

just looking at the top 3 scores for each class in the results is fairly meaningless, if you looked at all the scores you'd see a nice overlap for every class boundary, i average 60 - 70 on ESP but last weekend put in an 84, just happens.

Always take mine with me to a shoot, some grounds ask for it, some don't.  Just keep it in my cartridge bag.
