European Fitasc Sporting Hungary June 2015

THANKS LeighH, that sound tempting, never ben to Hungry. Mostly filming whistle wind tours in some of Europe.. Am going to the USA and quite a few of us are looking at the Worlds next year in Italy. Might even persuade the other half into a 'pre' cooking- school / touring' holiday beforehand...

European Fitasc Sporting Hungary June 2015

Battle of the heavyweights!!! Looks like an amazing shooting event. I notice more British, and probably countries than booked for the Worlds FITASC. Might have to be on my 'bucket' list, bloody long way from NZ to any part of Europe for 200 targets, but imagine the holiday!!

    shooting for your county

To shoot for New Zealand you have to shoot 3/4 or 4/5 selection shoots. These usually consist of out Sporting (FITASC)  Nationals  and FITASC Grand Prix as compulsory shoots and say four others which you must shoot two. Your best two others counting First past the post. There used to be issues...

    Compak Grand Prix Churchills

And this means: from E.J. Churchill Shooting Ground Facebook page. Glen Presley I saw a lot of blagging going on. At least 3 shooters in the top 10 gained targets they missed! Saw it with my own eyes! I lost a lot of respect for some big names I used to look up to and aspire to over this event...

    Teals

Cool THANKS Hamster, I'll try that, plenty of big shoots coming up downunder soon to 'play' on!!

    Teals

I have little problem (I won't say none) with straight away/up Teal at any distance. As soon as they set them on an angle away, say 45 degrees left or right I know its going to be 0/0, no matter how hard I try, or what I do. Usually swing thru, hold gun reasonably high and don't jump at them...

    WORLD FITASC'15

Thats one (probably the only) thing I am extremely jealous of, all those great shoots at top level in close foriegn shores. Such different cultures so close, and we have Aussie!!! Not that they are that bad really, salts of the earth most of them. Their convict past has hindered some of them I...

    WORLD FITASC'15

All interesting indeed. I understand, we have plenty of tea and biscuit shooters here, a few clays and a couple (??) of beers afterwards and they are more than happy. All of the comments makes sense it's just a shame that it isn't well supported by the general UK shooters. Still very pleased...

    WORLD FITASC'15

Hi just interestedd that there are not many of you (British) entered for the World FITASC only 10, yet there are 17 Kiwi's going. Is there no interest, can't be bothered, or waiting for team selections? Just interested why the 'Home of Sporting' has not overwelmed the entry list.

    Turn back time

We have just run our NZ Open, it was run over a 200 target weekend and was also 1 of the 2 optional shoots for our NZ Teams for the World FITASC next year. We ran 1st -7th and next year will run 1--10 PLUS have  Lewis Class running on the side. $20 Lewis Class was included in the entry to look...

    George Digweed club

COME ON YOU LOT!! I was sitting around the fire after a days shooting up Nelson (NZ)  and discussed the GD Club video and especially his left hand movement between targets. If that one tip gained an average shooter one or two targets and even a grade win, wouldn't the tip be worth it, for that...

    World FITASC 2015

Not about the cost, but the experience I'd say!! Quite a few of us (Kiwi's) are booked in for the two weeks at the Mankato Best Western, about 1/2 Hr from the shoot I gather. We have been dealing with: Arlene Herzberg General Manager Best Western Hotel & Restaurant 1111 Range Street North...

    World FITASC 2015

Air New Zealand to San Fran then Delta/United to Minneapolis (one each way) who have both said they will look after us, and were keen to hear details of the shoot. Not the normal response from some airlines that I have encountered in the past. We arrive late after 1100PM on Sunday 12th ready...

    british open sporting and sportrap

Thanks Steve clear as a fine consomme, sounds like a great winter plan. Sounds a wee bit like a simple (yet better in a way) version of Compak, certainly better use of pairs in the one round.  I'm presuming there is no 'Compak' distances and it is totally at the discression of the target...

    british open sporting and sportrap

We have never shot Sporttrap in NZ, can someone give me a brief description, or point me to a web site explaining it?  Is it a good winter discipline, shorter daylight hours and quick to get thru? CHEERS!!

George Digweed the best shooter in the world

'sh*t that's a lot of pies!!!  I'm not sure about this DTL lark, don't much fancy standing on a concrete  pad/lane and calling PULL!! For my humble vote it's GD through and through, World championships in 4 decades and now how many is that, 23!!!! Without mentioning everything else he's won in...
