Duck shooting season in NZ!! Army Navy 16ga.

THANKS LeighH, that sound tempting, never ben to Hungry. Mostly filming whistle wind tours in some of Europe.. Am going to the USA and quite a few of us are looking at the Worlds next year in Italy. Might even persuade the other half into a 'pre' cooking- school / touring' holiday beforehand...

Battle of the heavyweights!!! Looks like an amazing shooting event. I notice more British, and probably countries than booked for the Worlds FITASC. Might have to be on my 'bucket' list, bloody long way from NZ to any part of Europe for 200 targets, but imagine the holiday!!

To shoot for New Zealand you have to shoot 3/4 or 4/5 selection shoots. These usually consist of out Sporting (FITASC)  Nationals  and FITASC Grand Prix as compulsory shoots and say four others which you must shoot two. Your best two others counting First past the post. There used to be issues...

I have little problem (I won't say none) with straight away/up Teal at any distance. As soon as they set them on an angle away, say 45 degrees left or right I know its going to be 0/0, no matter how hard I try, or what I do. Usually swing thru, hold gun reasonably high and don't jump at them...

All interesting indeed. I understand, we have plenty of tea and biscuit shooters here, a few clays and a couple (??) of beers afterwards and they are more than happy. All of the comments makes sense it's just a shame that it isn't well supported by the general UK shooters. Still very pleased...

Hi just interestedd that there are not many of you (British) entered for the World FITASC only 10, yet there are 17 Kiwi's going. Is there no interest, can't be bothered, or waiting for team selections? Just interested why the 'Home of Sporting' has not overwelmed the entry list.

Thanks Steve clear as a fine consomme, sounds like a great winter plan. Sounds a wee bit like a simple (yet better in a way) version of Compak, certainly better use of pairs in the one round.  I'm presuming there is no 'Compak' distances and it is totally at the discression of the target...

We have never shot Sporttrap in NZ, can someone give me a brief description, or point me to a web site explaining it?  Is it a good winter discipline, shorter daylight hours and quick to get thru? CHEERS!!
