Make sure you like the handling. There is a lot of wood in the Ascent stock and they do tend to be stock heavy in the 30" version - you will see a lot of users with the barrel weights fitted. I imagine your Browning is probably the opposite and barrel heavy.

Aris, I think you may be right. Just looking at the DTL specific cartridges by Hull. Gamebore and Eley all within a pound or two per thousand of each other. Coincidence or agreement? 

If it's an increase in the price of components plus import duty that have put up the price of UK manufactured cartridges then why have cartridges manufactured on the continent not suffered the same increase? They use the same components and are subject to the same duties if brought over here...
