    Hello from Suffolk/Norfolk

Hi Chris Welcome. I'm also a Suffolk boy. I shoot at Lakenheath and High Lodge. Let us know when you get your certificate if you fancy a meet up.

    Shooting with someone else

I just checked with my local and they said it was fine. Just to advise them when you get there and as long as its one to one.

    Billy no mates!

I'm going to pay for a membership very soon as I'm going there more and more. Maybe we could meet up at some point?

    Funny ol' day

Thanks very much. I'd planned to go again this week but this time rather than simply doing a round, spend a bit of time on each one to fully get comfortable with a pre-shot routine, hold points and break points. Fingers crossed!

    Billy no mates!

So far I've been going to High Lodge. I wonder if I need to join a 'club'?

    Funny ol' day

Just got back from a round at High Lodge. Things just didn't go very well today. I had a few good stands but it was quite busy and I get put off and totally loose my focus when people are watching me, I then miss a few and feel like a bit of an idiot. On one particular stand, it had an A bird...

    Billy no mates!

Yes that me! We not exactly, but only a couple that shoot and they aren't very good! Bit of a funny one, but how can I find some people to shoot with locally? 34 year old male, Aquarius, based in Suffolk, GSOH, would like to meet like minded people for some clay fun with a shotgun. Owen

Techniques for right shoulder shooters with left master eye.

I have central vision, so neither is dominant. But the outcome is the same. For a year I used to do use the "Both eyes, One eye, Shoot" approach. Which was fine, but I recently started to put a small frosted spot on my left lens to take that put of the equation, but still allowing full benefit...

    A gun for the wife

Thanks very much Salopian. I'll PM you the details etc. I think it may be helpful to post a final post on this thread once things are sorted to update anyone that may use the Search function in the future.

    A gun for the wife

Thanks all. I'm looking into with who and where I can get her to have a proper try-gun gun fit. This is turning out to be a lot more expensive than I thought it would!!

    A gun for the wife

Unfortunately my local shooting schools don't have try-guns so the plan (as directed by the gunsmith) is to get her to shoot at a pattern board and then take that, the gun and her to see the gunsmith. Part of me though is thinking about just shortening the stock until it is short enough for...

    A gun for the wife

I've actually just contacted my local school to see if they can do this. My predicament is if I take her to see the gunsmith, he might mention the gun I bought 2 weeks ago that the wife knows nothing about!!!
