Beretta Silver Pigeon. Used Power Golds for the last year almost, but due to price hikes I have been trying RC2s. They seem fairly decent albeit a little slower. Price difference is quite a bit though (c£14 a slab) so I'll stick with the RC2s for now. Both 24g 7 1/2.

Fast forward 9 months, been shooting regularly ever since. Entered my first reg. sporting yesterday too! Looking forward to see what this year brings.

Decided to blow the budget and get a three lens X6 kit. Spent some time trying different lenses etc so I am happy with my purchase. Looking forward to using them later in the week!

Yes ? I've done smaller no reg shoots and did quite well so I'm looking forward to it rather than being nervous. Come from other competitive sport background so can see it becoming addictive!

Thanks, I've had quite a lot of lessons last year. Been practicing a lot this year, at least once a week so feel ready now..I hope  :lol:

I've only been shooting for about 11 months - entering my first registered this month. Goals for this year are to be competitive in C class, and possibly even come towards the top of a few! Certainly progressed well so fingers crossed.

Thanks for the replies. I hadn't thought about the arms with over ear defenders. I do find my current glasses painful for extended periods of time so I guess this counts the Pumas out. There's a dealer locally so I'll go and try different models on - going to look at the 560 and X6/7.

I am looking to upgrade my old Wiley X glasses for something from Pilla. I don't have a massive budget so the Puma model caught the 'eyes' on eBay! Obviously I can't try a pair out so I was wondering if anyone has experience of these? They come with a few lenses for c£250.

Had my first taste of clay shooting on Saturday - it was my first shotgun experience (previous airsoft and airgun so nothing similar!) and a 30 min taster session on gun fit, stance, safety etc ending in a quick clay shoot. I managed to hit all 10, although imagine it was part beginners luck...
