Looks to me that the grounds with the higher avg score seem to attract more shooters. This suggest that people prefer ‘softer’ shoots than those slightly more challenging shoots… each to their own and all that. It’s not a cheap sport so the paying public will choose the most enjoyable shoot for...
Suspect the scores will have something to do with it. Not that I shoot much but it looks to me that some like high scores and some like more challenging targets….
Look, my GP practice refused. I have no issue with them refusing to be honest and I found the medicert system very painless and no doubt cheaper than if my GP actually did it because I am sure they would charge a lot more.
The GP may or may not be held accountable in the event of something...
I sent away for my Medicert as soon as I go my renewal notice (16 weeks prior to it ending). My renewal notice was sent by post from Gloucestershire Firearms. I had the option of filling out the paper renewal or doing it online. Online was easy, you just upload the Medicert and photo and fill...
I used Medicert for GP report as my GP refused to do it. Found Medicert to be very efficient. Well worth using.
my FEO dragged their heels when it came to granting the Renewal. I didn’t actually receive the paper copy until after my current one had expired. Also, no home/cabinet/gun check this...
I’ll keep the SGC for the next 5 years but if the prices of shells continue to rise at the current rate, I will surrender it as shooting will no longer be a viable option for me.
Just renewed my SGC. If the prices continue to rise at the rate they are (nearly 50% in the last 2 years for Hull Superfast - used to be a budget shell!!), then I won’t be renewing my SGC in 5 years and will probably stop shooting before that. ! I suspect I won’t be alone in doing that too…
Yes, nearly £300 near me (well, £293)....... that is a huge amount of money for a 'budget shell'. Pre covid, I was paying about £200. Absolutely ridiculous price now. I don't shoot that much anyway but will certainly be shooting less going forward. The sport is (not so) slowly killing itself....
