I use an old bath towel to lay the gun on. Any overspray is soaked by that. All the bits of toilet/kitchen paper used goes straight in the bin underneath.

If i was looking for a new cleaning kit, i would probably look on ebay. There are quite a few on there from around £10 upwards from reputable makes. Parker hale, Bisley etc

The OP also asked if he was mounting the gun correctly,(being new to shooting) Without some one telling him yes or no, he may well get to 'fit the gun' rather than getting the gun to fit him.

If you do not know anybody who can show you how to mount a gun properly, go to your nearest club/ground and ask them for some advice or an hours lesson.

Get him on a skeet range! Station 1/2 or 6/7 get him to consistently shoot 5 in a row on each to build his confidence. Half closing/squinting his right eye may help. After all he is not going to learn to shoot overnight!

No good to you Alan, as you need to have your barrels bored & threaded. I am not using them so cannot comment on them factually. Would i buy them? No!
