Well to update on the GP fees, I ended up just ignoring the invoice and last Wednesday my SGC landed though the post box. Now off to the gun shop to pick up a gun.

Many thanks for the responses, and the welcome to the site. I think you've helped make up my mind not to pay the invoice and I'll see what the FEO says during his visit. Hopefully it doesn't hold up the approval too long as I've got my eye on a gun and can't wait.
