Just to let you know we will shoot our ES Nationals this weekend at Brisbane Spoting Clays Ground. About the only time we shoot ES, looking forward to it.
Great comment on the Teal in fact I have shot Teal going downwards at the 2004 Belgian FITASC GP. They were thrown straight down off a 150m shear drop cliff. Quite interesting.
What do we shoot down under ? Well we have 4 different shotgun Associations all shoot different forms of Sporting.
The main Sporting Association is Sporting Clays Australia who shoot FITAST Sporting, Compac, and a limited amount of ES.
Then you have ACTA that shoot 5 Stand Sporting.
Field & Game Australia shoot a softer form of FITASC style sporting with targets closer in and softer.
SSAA shoot Birdbrain and 5 Stand Sporting. Birdbrain is 5 Stand without a menu card, so you don't know what target is coming from where.
FITASC in Aus are usually longer and faster targets than what I experienced at the GP in Dorchester a few years back. More like targets in France.
