Can someone please explain the format of skeet doubles ?

Is that doubles as in low house and high house together?

each round is made up of 50 targets. 24 first round and 26 on the second.

a double on each stand taking hb first on station 4 round to station 7.

then you come back shooting a double on each stand lb first on the way back

first round you finish at stand 2 for a 24. Second round you finish on stand 1 for a 26 making 50. Repeat for your hundred.

there are no repeated targets should you miss!

its quick and a lot of fun. Enjoy

thank you Simon very succinct explanation. Sounds just my sort of thing definitely want to give that a go. Presumably target speed etc is same as English

another question

Olympic skeet I know its gun down and a delay and faster but other than that is it same format as English?

Is that doubles as in low house and high house together?
yep I think so david

I call them pair's as you would in ESP. I've only shot skeet a couple of times up at Bywell and a round there is 25 starting at the high house and finishing at the low. In practice on your first miss you get it again. This give you 25 shots.

No idea if the format changes for a comp.

Search YouTube as there's a Chris Bartha series on skeet.

yep that's English what I shot today and absolutely loved it. Doubles sounds huge fun

Olympic Skeet is a different sequence.

1 High single & pair high first

2 High single & pair high first

3 High single & pair high first

4 High single & low single

5 Low single & pair low first

6 Low single & pair low first

7 Pair low first

4 Pair high first & pair low first

8 High single & low single

wow need to give that a go too.

how much faster are the targets ?
