At the moment any CPSA member can log in and see any other members scores, shoots, classification, etc.

I think all data should be private.

I don't see a purpose for this.

Just wondered if anyone else feels this way.

Can't see a problem myself. And how would you get classification for registered shoots on the day.the only information I can see is available is class and county.

Can't say I have ever given it any thought

Just given it some thought and no it doesn't bother me.

No quite happy with the current situation. There's plenty of people on shooting forums who talk the talk. You can actually see those who can walk the walk too by being able to see their scores and classifications.

What nick said and also you can see how good or bad someone's score was on the score board on the day and there class

I think if you compete in an open competition you are inherently "on show". Anyway, as mentioned, I like to be able to see how people are doing. Usually mates, but sometimes it is good for sussing out the bluffers.

Ditto all the above (except the original post of course).

Good to be able to suss out the competition.

No problem with it at all!!

I quite like the fact that someone can look up my CPSA number and see how good or bad I'm doing and the grounds that I shoot at, makes no difference to me!

I don't think people have the time or interest to look up other shooters scores or classifications.

BTW Rosso what's your cpsa no?

I get it now.

It's like a club with no secrets well thats good really.

Totally transparent.

Good. I kind of like that now.

I suppose its good to see how many shoots our top shooters do in a year, month, day.

I do like it now.

Never thought of it as eyeing up the opposition.

Now I see the purpose of it.

Why are lowest scores greyed out on the scores list which shows classification total score data.

If you are not happy with your information being public knowledge, you can contact the CPSA and opt out, I know 2 shooters who have already done this.

Took me a minute to find that didn't know that page existed until now ta! The grey ones are the ones that don't count towards your average due to being 10% or more below your raw average.

So do I and having seen them perform I can fully understand why they wouldn't want their scores in the public domain

So cross ref to another post re carpet bagging.

How do carpet baggers get over this if the low scores don't count.
