What are people's views on the George Digweed club ,I have always been a no 1 fan but this has let me down. it's something that's just not for me . Especially at (£20.83 per month) it's like sky TV on steroids

My view is this is totally the wrong way for a top sportsman to go

How many will join

I think the idea is good, but way to expensive, would have liked to see something similar but sponsored and free to air, it's not for me but I hope he pulls it off he deserves all he can get for all he has given, he has a huge personalty and to me comes across brilliantly on camera,
Best of luck george

£1k per year for Gold?!?!?!?.... Good luck to him on that one but personally I'd rather spend that money on some lessons with a decent 'coach' and some shells. I can live without a 'gold membership card and members tag for gunslip/range bag'....

Not being a Sporting shooter it's of no interest to me.

That aside, it's ridiculously expensive. I wouldn't have thought many will go for it.

I'm guessing that George's pricing is set deliberately high for two main reasons:

1. His shooting CV suggests that he can deliver the goods

2. Why waste time with people who are not serious about committing to what he has to offer. Anyone signing up has definitely committed in my opinion.

I don't know the full ins and outs of the program, but I'd bet that the cost of the basic membership could easily be offset by the discounts offered if you were a regular member of the associated grounds.

Come on Will H, how many clays would it take and where's best to shoot them ;)

Thinking about this for a while and I think he's a smart Businessman.  :money:

If he priced membership at say £25 per year he would be swamped with just about every shooter on the planet (well, a lot anyway!) and if this was the case he'd have to spread himself very thinly across his club duties as he does have a few other commitments through the year. Someone at his level does not want to be pestered by all and sundry when he can attract the more serious shooter (and we know he can!)

It would be like Eric Clapton appearing at "The Dog and Duck". Why do this when he can fill The Royal Albert Hall, do the same work for 2 hours, and rake in the cash?

He will still attract the "well heeled" shooter and make enough from this to repay himself for the time he will obviously have to put in to make a success of it.

It's not like he's a self publicist like some, talking up a reputation. He can stand fully by his own record of achievements.

I know there is a lot of George to go around, but even he has his limitations.

Personally it's not for me as I taught him everything he knows and have forgotten more than I told him in the first place.  :sarcastic:

I may start to charge for insults, possibly even lists but the latter would be cost according to length of said list.

how does 50 quid a year plus a fiver per insult sound ?

Ah.....BUT...Club IPS is free! He even gives lists and insults out for free too!
Les.

Great how do I join. Do I get a news letter.

Does news letter have a fashion page?

Is the back ground colour maroon?

Camo section?

Semi section?

I could go on but it would be a list.

Good idea but way out of my price range, any spare cash/time I have goes on clays/carts the monthly sub for club Digweed is the cost of clays for 4 rounds of skeet.
