Soooo, looking for some sensible ideas for a new motor, needs to be used for commuting to work (motorways) and shooting. Needs boot space, maybe 4x4, roomy in case there is more than two of us, does more than 40MPG... and go

www.Firs-garage.com do the Browning version of the Mitsubish ASX. There's a Shotgun & Chelsea Bun one at the moment and it's apparently good for commuting and shooting.

Audi A4 quattro avant or BMW 3 series 320 estate both good on diesel and reasonably low tax.....  if your a member of BASC there some good discounts on the volvo and subaru estates with dealers across the country either ring BASC head office to get info on the best deals in your area or visit dealers and ask about the BASC discount quite a good write on the scheme in this months mag

CHRYSLER 300C Touring. Goes like the wind. Mercedes
running gear at Skoda prices. Plenty of room for guns and dogs etc.

cost? not a lambo, they catch fire,,,, maybe a Scooby forester diesel,,,or a Santa fea diesel,, cheap enough, about 300 quid a month on lease,,,or if you like german stuff,a merc amg 63 6x6,  will get you there without roads,,,,,,,,,

and you people talk about overpriced guns??????????????????

I had no idea the level of financial independence lurking here

I've just ordered a Rav 4 .......Having a BMW 320 saloon and a dog is not a good combination

Bit a broad question really (as can be seen from some of the err..........responses).

Some idea of budget, new or second hand, annual mileage, etc would be useful.
