I love these! I shot a marvellous Browning B25 with one of these on and it was quite the nicest gun I've had my hands on. It just floats there. Not a kick in sight.
There are many top shots who use recoil reduction devices, if you take into acount a half decent pad as a minimum, then all of them do ! Without being too harsh the subject of recoil is one of those where unless you're personally affected to the degree of having to seek ways of reducing it, you simply wouldn't have the benefit of either experience, knowledge or wisdom to comment in a constructive way.I don't think you can reduce recoil. You might feel less but the gun still recoils in the same way regardless of what you put on the back of it. I think the best way of getting relief from recoil is to hold the gun properly and use a cartridge that causes the least amount of recoil ... so as ips said a lighter load and a well fitted gun should help a lot. It is a fact that you will see very few really top shots using the devises being touted here.
The world FITASC champion could probably be viewed as a top shot. (I could be wrong).I don't think you can reduce recoil. Yes.The world FITASC champion could probably be viewed as a top shot. (I could be wrong).
The ISIS system is a spring damper unit, similar to that which we all experience in the suspension when we drive a car. If you remove all suspension from your car you will notice a difference in the ride quality, over bumps especially. Then, while spitting your teeth out you can ponder how much nicer a gun can feel with an ISIS system.
But seriously, I would hugely miss my ISIS system now.
Of course you can.I don't think you can reduce recoil. You might feel less but the gun still recoils in the same way regardless of what you put on the back of it. I thought it was already on a list. :twitch:Can we now enter "recoil" onto our ever increasing list of "most favourite topics" such as poi and poa and chokes and beads etc etc
