Good evening to everyone. Last week I bought a Fabarm Velocity brand new. I wanted it to shoot sporting, trap & skeet with. I've bought a Guerini Maxum Impact previously & know these guns are of great quality for their price. Having shot the fabarm three times in the past week I've had nothing but problems. The gun is refusing to come apart after shooting with the barrel seizing itself to the action. I'm 15st & I'm almost doing myself an injury trying to get the barrel off. Shot an 80 bird event today & the gun barrel seized itself to the action. It has finally torn the action away from the gun with the barrel seized to it. I'm very, very disappointed & will have to return it to the dealer. Has any members who shoot one suffered the same problem?

If I'm honest I can't quite understand the problem, are you saying that once you unscrew the front end cap neither the fore end nor the barrels slide off ? If this is the case then there is something pretty fundamental wrong as those I've seen so far have had nothing but praise from their owners.

The problem is this. The fore end cap unscrews & wooden fore end come free. But the barrel is completely seized in the action. It will not come free from the gun. It should pull away without problem. It will not.

Daft question but here goes.. have you pulled the bolt into the open position??

Not familiar with this gun what bolt do you refer too. How's the man flu :)

Hi Springfield I have one of these xlr you must have the bolt forward for the barrel

To be released otherwise it pulls at the wrong angle regards scott

I am confused whats this bolt thing sounds a complicated thingie ?

I would try to explain it to you but it would be like talking about the arguments for and against quantum mechanics theories without being able to mention Cats.

Man flu lasted all morning. Ok now.

Ha, sounds way to complicated for me. You just take the forend off a beretta and detach the barell job done.

Pleased to hear man flu is better :)

It was a moment of weakness don't read anything into it :)

Thanks for the correspondence everyone. I have disassembled the gun as per the manufacturers instructions. I have also checked the video on u tube. I'm doing it correctly. There is a serious problem with my gun.

So the opening line of the Fabarm sales blurb ....'the true definition of speed in motion and mechanics' doesn't seem to be quite true in this case then!!

I also particularly liked the line 'the best target shotgun on the market – Period' :)

Good luck with getting it sorted.....whatever it is?

Oh...it's an auto...!!

Take it back to the shop......and.......Buy a proper gun.

P.s. Don't tell IPS its an auto or he probably would not speak to you again.

Did you have the bolt forward?

May have trouble with an exchange if you ripped the action off the stock. Most people would have said 'oh sh*t there is a problem ' and taken it back to shop.

To rip action off stock must have been some frustrated pulling or twisting....not sure how you are going to explain that one.
