Can anyone tell me how much the price was for this gun in 1999 bought new? Thank you.

I bought mine around 1990 from Chris Potters for £1250 if memory serves, px'd a like new Miroku 6000 G3, guns didn't go up an awful lot in the 90's so my guess is around £1450.

Thank you Hammy I knew you would know. Would the grade of wood made any difference?

I don't think the 682 has ever really been marketed with different grades of wood although the Lux versions which had engraving also had better wood. Having said that there are some standard 682's around with exotic grain, mine used to get the odd favourable comment.

The E version did have the Ltd spec limited run which also tend to have decent wood.

I purchased a 682 Supersport at about the same time from Shooters Paradise in Clowne & also paid about £1250.00. It had 30" ported barrels - it was a fantastic gun and dusted the targets with Winchester Winner 8's. Boy I regret part xing this gun but needed the funds to replace when I upgraded to a CG 32".

Anyone remember using winner 8's a premium grade shell @ £108 per thousand when these were last available in the UK

Oh yes :)  , very good shells as were the Trap 100/200, often wonder why someone doesn't re-introduce the whole range even if it means buying the rights.

No, I have just got to ask........... why do you want to know Sian?

I should say that the 682 was/is one of my favourite guns ever. I've never owned one, always wanted one, and VERY nearly bought one recently. Damn! you've started me thinking about it again now  :sarcastic:

Tony bought one for instructing when he gets going. From Chris Potter funnily enough Hammy. He bought it for £900. It looks like it has hardly shot any cartridges, all metal work very good condition. The only bad damage was to the stock and a few little digs which he has repaired, sanded down and re-oiled. Picture of the stock damage and I will put some more up of it now when I take some.

I had a go with it and it was nice to shoot but heavier than my SP1.

I'd wager that is the best value £900 gun there is, Miroku included.

It really is quite nice, I'm thinking I might claim it as a second gun. It's no doubt better quality than my Lola May but I sooooo love her - I will continue my learning journey with her :)

Looks really nice, I do like those. The one I was looking at is a similar vintage 682 Gold.......... yum yum

I thought the s682 was superceded by the gold in about 92 so csnt understand how yours is dated 99. I could be wrong of course. I can tell you a 682 gold was 1250 in 94 snd as hammy says no grade of wood on any 682 models, you got what you got.

I still have one of those I got for the wife in early 90's -  - -   28" barrels/factory ports/mobile chokes.  Over the years I've collected a couple of every choke and a few aftermarkets.  Super little gun.  I still take it out for skeet now and then.  And it does have some decent looking wood.

Hard not to like tho BerettaUSA is a pack of sh*tes

just sayin

I don't know enough about these things - maybe replacement barrels? Shootinguru where are you?
