Just watched another episode of Clay shooting Tv and i cant quite work out if like it or not ? (idon't)

Not saying its crap (.)
Editing seems very slap dash poor and sound is always very tinny and hard to hear (every episode)
Topics are always interesting but most of the time seems like its been thrown together..

Does anyone feel the same way? Is this another lost cause or does it just need dramatically improving
or am i just being a pen15 ?

It's great that we have it, FOC and it is surely to be encouraged. But like you I do feel there is a list of improvements that would be good to introduce.

one more try on this pc! bloody thing's giving me uphill!

 so,,,,,

I was trying to say that I don't like to comment on other folks opinions,,,,,but,,, I feel phil is doing ok with what he presents, as far  as I see he is doing a limited appeal coverage, which he only gets one chance at doing. when filming "live" you cannot shout  'CUT! , RESET,, LETS DO THAT AGAIN" etc...and. with very little finances,(I think?)

it's him, and the bloke with the camera.

i'll bet he is the first to admit to a few shortcomings, but for what he produces, I think it's pretty good. be thankful for what he shows,,,, I thought the coverage of the Dutch shoot was ok, and his interview with Ed. he cannot cover every event, so good for him what he has done so far.,,,

btw, I have been in the film industry for years,,so my opinion is my own, based on past experience.

Oh a real live movie maker I our midst

I am ready for my close up Mr Wheeler and use plenty of that soft focus lighting

Just think, if he turns up on Saturday, he can film & interview the SC massiv :)

Far better the the usual suspects . :)

:santa:

tinkles,,, I made the bits you see, you see,,,, I' wasn't the, director producer, more the builder , of what you see on a movee,,, see?

anyway, just watched the effort from today, interview with mr&mrs Lovett,,, and the rest,,,, looked ok to me? I don't envy the folk who run and set up big shoots either,  I've got  a couple of those shirts too,!   hats off to all the folk that run all this stuff, the ground owners, forum owners, filming guys etc.

surely if you love shooting,, there's no arguing about it?

Really welcome any comments n the programme, it is being self funded so it may sometimes leave a little bit of professionaalism at times. We started slowly to test the water, and do have some fantastic support technically at some of the bigger events. The general work is done and presented by me and currently we have in the region of 10,000 viewers per week. The next stage is to start to monetarise this to fund the costs, we have invested in more equipment and new editing software. The last programme had some good bits to it, but a few sound problems. In the coming weeks we are looking to get more shooting on the channel, actual shots, such as the British and others. The programme is evolving, but please give feedback as that is the only way to improve it. Ideally this will grow and grow, as sponsorship comes in then we can invest more in it, but we are trying to bring something for everyone right now.

A couple of people are now helping with additional footage from events, if anyone else wants to help please give me a shout. The Dutch was an example of getting there, as was the Beretta and the Worlds. The Troy was not covered by us.

Current schedule is ShootClay, Gamebore DTL, British Open, Great Wall World Series, White Gold and Starshot, also planning to cover the Nationals from the US.

PS, the new equipment is sound equipment that we are now using more, invested in decent broadcast mics, so it should improve from now too.

I really agree here - building something like this is an iterative process, but having a starting point and something to build on is EXACTLY what the sport needs.  I get a spike in traffic on Thursday when I include the clayshooting.tv segment, so it's good for me - but more importantly it's good for the sport.

No doubt Phil is learning as he goes, like I did with the website and forum, and will learn with events like the cup.

What we have now is a great start though Phil and I look forward to seeing you for a glass of champs on Saturday evening!

I look forward to watching Phils channel, yes he needs to invest in some personal radio mics but this all comes in time when funds allow like any business. Good on Phil, Matt and anyone else in the sport for making the effort, apathy = death.

Love Clay Shooting TV. Keep it up, well done Phil.
