Both my husband and daughter shoot without a bead - their personal preference.

only way to go...... advantages are numerous..... most importantly never having to pull bits of fluff from your slip off the bead with one hand while holding a loaded gun with the other..... discuss!!! hehehe....

I am currently counting the beads.................that are breaking out on my forehead.       :fie:

Westley - in that case it might have 2 !  Mine has 2 and I am forever trying to ignore them but can't pluck up courage to remove them

I took a lesson from USA olympian Dan Carlisle in the late 1990's.  He saw me shoot 3 birds, said "let me borrow your gun," and promptly took out a pair of pliers and removed my front bead.  It was probably 5 years later that I upgraded the iron on my gun and reaquired a front bead.  I still have that beadless 682 barrel set.

I cant see the point of beads cause if your looking at it you will miss the clay(guaranteed)

You are obviously NOT trying hard enough to ignore them, simply because you are having to TRY. Take the damned things away and try shooting, they are simple enough to replace. The only time that I will concede that beads are of any assistance, is if you are shooting gun up, such as a Trap discipline. Mount the gun, check all is looking right and then LIFT your vision above the rib and call for the target. Otherwise, be a Devil......go beadless !
