DTL tonight

Not shot for nearly 2 Weeks so I am going to try and beat my PB tonight. My PB is 86 and my target is 90!

Do not fall into the trap of shooting not to miss, shoot every target with commitment.

And there endeth the lesson according to ips

and work to points rather than hits. Kills mean nothing in DTL, it's a points game.

Well, I'm back. I was counting kills rather than 2 shots per kill but I used very few double shots overall. Getting better, got an 88 tonight. The annoying thing is I think I know why I missed them, it is the rifle aim thing when I think about aiming and not doing it more instinctively.

I think I traversed another milestone tonight. I realised after a run of about 10 first barrel hits I was not even thinking about the gun just focusing on the clay!  Then I thought about is and missed 2 in a row........

Anyway, I really enjoyed tonight and looking forward to another round next week.

Next time I'll keep my eyes shut!  I am beginning to understand about consistency of a good gun mount so you don't have to think about the gun mount....or at least that makes sense to me.

Spot on mate if you have to think or adjust mount in any way your not fully focused on seeing the target.
