Was very disappointed to here Anglo Italia decided to pull out last minute well that was what I was told by another dealer on gun makers row .

For me it's very poor when guerini keep bringing out new guns yet fail to support big venues to view them

just like the rest , they look after the elite shooter , and the rest of us  don't really matter .    must be a good excuse not being there .

I've heard from other quarters that it's got very expensive to both get a stand at the CLA and enough  car park /exhibitor passes to make it worth while.  Presumably they thought they could spend their marketing budget more effectively elsewhere.  I did go to the CLA on Friday and kind of felt rather than counted that there were less manufacturers there than previous years.

A couple of stand reps said that the Stoneleigh Shooting Show earlier in the year is better attended (by shooters) than the CLA which is more of general country fair, maybe CG thought the same?

I have just got home from the cla, the caesar guerini stand was one of my main reasons for going. I have a summit ascent and was looking to get a slip and cartridge bag. As everyone has said its a very poor show on guerinis part.

Not sure why you wouldn't buy your branded gear from your dealer? I know the stands are eye wateringly expensive and there's the reason.

Contact alister at Anglo Italian arms direct fir your accessories and see if he can help. They have a try day at coley s shooting ground in the next couple of months.

A. Branthwaite Gunsmiths stock CG kit. Buy online. Thought they were supposed to be at the game fair.

Must admit Anglo Italia Arms do seem to be dragging their feet a bit.

Spoke with them at Owls lodge not long ago AIA are not the cheapest to deal with in my experience.

A. Branthwaite were there with some C.G. as part of another dealer's stand - I think there was a guy selling shooting insurance, shooting holidays and one or two other companies also on that stand.

Essex gun stock a lot of CG gear too.

I bought my vest from them over the phone.

Think the best thing would be to go to the CG day at owls in September if you want a whole day dedicated to the brand.

i spent the day at CLA yesterday, a nice day out,, I didn't see much new and exciting ,the usual show mix of mostly food stalls. it was commented by friends with us that you need deep pockets these days to go to any type of  public show,,some seem to shrink a bit,, others, like Farnborough air show, which has doubled in 2 years.

pay your money , take your choice,

I gave up game fairs years ago. Same old same old.

Hate traffic jams in and out toooo (if they still have them).

I also gave up game fairs and shooting shows got bored with looking at the same thing every year.the only thing that changes is the price on the ticket.

Had my eye on a little 20 bore for game, web price £2.5k, game fair bargain price of £2.75k and no negotiation. Fair to say it stayed there. Think thats my last year at the CLA. I can walk down any high street and get mugged without having to pay for the pleasure.

Yes ive noticed all those bargain basement starter guns, at inflated prices at most shows. They cant sell very many, can they?

Maybe the reason for 2 or 3 different Traders sharing a stand tells you something, simply the COST of going it alone. Two years ago Beretta were missing from the Midland Game Fair, the following year Browning had gone too. Personally, if I was a major gun dealer, I would better spend my money having open days at grounds where people could at least fire one of my guns, than having a tent in an overpriced shopping mall, where my Customers are packed in together with their damned dogs.

Campers......anyone thought that they do not actually have to be there.....? Some people are bored %$*&less with game fairs....I mean how many people actually buy a gun at a gamefair these days. OK....loads of people go and handle them and wax lyrical about them on the stand. I know that would bore me to death......'oh here he comes again...Mr Know Nothing...telling us we have designed this or that wrong zzzzz'.

Maybe they just wanted a rest........for a year or two.

....just a thought
